I started the project by working on the artwork for the bottle. The project aim was to promote DPD’s sustainability message. To achieve this, I researched ideas and created various concepts. The approved artwork consists of the DPD cube made of leaves, followed by DPD’s sustainability message and logo.
Afterwards, I created a 3D mockup to showcase the bottle in different scenes. I used Blender to create the mockup and purchased an exact model of the steel bottle online. I also found plant models online to save time and focus on making the mockup as best as possible.
For the primary mockup in a forest, I added moss rocks at the bottom and placed the bottle on top with the artwork added as an image. Then, I added some plants at the front and back to give it more depth and finished off by adding an image of a forest at the back. When rendering, I used a large aperture to ensure that the focus was on the bottle and the background image was blurred out. Once rendered, I opened the image in Adobe Photoshop and edited it using the camera raw filter. I adjusted the colours to make sure they are accurate and added texture to add more detail in the plants.
I also created two other mockups, one with the bottle laying on grass and flowers, and another where the bottle appears to be touching the water with ripple effects. Additionally, I rendered out some shots of the bottle to showcase the product and close up details.
