Firstly, I began the project by designing the artwork for the advent calendar. The goal was to create a Christmas-themed design that incorporated elements of the DPD brand. Once I received the dieline from the print supplier, I used a variety of assets from Freepik to create the final artwork.
Once the final artwork was approved, I started working on the 3D mockup of the calendar in Blender. I used the dieline as a guide to ensure the dimensions of the calendar were accurate, and recreated it in Blender. I made sure that all of the doors were adjustable to create a more realistic mockup rather than just a simple box. Next, I exported different sides of the calendar as images and imported them onto the 3D model. Once I had created the 3D model, I added a backdrop, lights, and positioned the calendar for the final render.
I am very proud with the outcome of the artwork and the 3D mockup. Creating the 3D mockup was crucial in visualizing the final product.
